Jamie Bosten is engaged in various legal matters including corporate and business law, real estate law and leasing, guardianships and conservatorships, healthcare law, wills, trusts, probate law, and general contract law. He also has a background in civil litigation.
As a former paramedic and hospital/health care lawyer, Jamie has over 20 years of practical experience in the area of advance directives for health care including: living wills, Health Care Powers of Attorney (HCPOA), and Do Not Resuscitate documents. He helps explain these documents and their uses in simple terms to ensure clients have their individual needs met. He is also able to assist health care providers in navigating the various legal and regulatory challenges of the industry.
Jamie also able to help families with guardianship and conservatorship needs when an HCPOA or other advance directive is not available.
He provides expertise to clients with various types of contracts including: employment contracts, corporate contracts and business formation, and other corporate law concerns, real estate purchase and sales contracts, and the leasing and subleasing of property.
He is excited to be working with the lawyers at Stanley, Lande & Hunter because they practice as a team, and clients have the full complement of the firm’s resources available to them, including the firm’s lawyers and trained and personable legal assistants. Jamie is a member of the Muscatine County, State of Iowa and American Bar Associations. He is licensed to practice in Iowa and Colorado (inactive).
He is active in the community, currently serving as the President of the Board of Trustees for the Muscatine Church of Christ and leader of a small group Bible study, and he is a Muskie Band Booster.
Jamie returned to Muscatine after spending 15 years in the Denver, Colorado, area. He has a passion for the small town, good natured lifestyle of Iowa and wanted to provide the citizens of his hometown with top notch legal services. He is a graduate of Muscatine High School, Muscatine Community College, the University of Iowa, and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Jamie enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristin and his step-children Ethan and Aubrey, as well as attending Iowa Hawkeye football games and many other activities with friends and family.
