Chuck Coulter has successfully served corporate and personal clients in Business and Corporate matters. Real Estate, Wills and Estate Planning.
He has actively participated in Iowa State and American Bar Associations, holding many positions in the ABA Section on Law Practice Management and elected to chair the Section in 1991-92. He has written and lectured on law practice management topics.
Chuck founded the Leadership Muscatine program and Muscatine Tennis Association, has served for 40 years on the Muscatine Community Health Association, been a Direct of Muscatine Health Support Foundation since 1986, and worked in many political campaigns. He served 11 years on the Board of Directors of Old Brick Episcopal Lutheran Corporation in Iowa City, six years as Secretary of the Coralville Community Fund; as President of the River Heights Racquet Club; as a Director of the Community Foundation of Johnson County, and on the Advisory Board for 50-50 in 2020.
The University of Iowa College of Law awarded Chuck the 2011 Alumni Service Award, and the Iowa State Bar Association awarded Chuck the 2001 Community Service Award in recognition of his long history of community service.
Since 1995, he has lived in Iowa City with his wife, Elizabeth, who is an Episcopal priest. She started New Song Episcopal Church in Coralville, the first new Episcopal Church in Iowa in over 20 years. One daughter is a free-lance writer in Chicago, and the other daughter is a trial lawyer in Michigan.
