David Meloy is a 1975 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, with high distinction. He was a law clerk for Justice Harvey Uhlenhopp of the Iowa Supreme Court from 1975 through 1976.
David has practiced as an attorney with Stanley, Lande & Hunter since 1976. He is a past president of the Muscatine County Bar Association and is currently Chairman of Stanley, Lande & Hunter.
He has been active in the Muscatine Sister Cities Association, Kiwanis, the Muscatine Library Board, and the Muscatine Art Center Board. He is past Chairman of the Board of the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is currently a director of the Community Nursing Foundation, Flickinger Learning Center, the Muscatine Center for Business Development, and the Lutheran Homes Society.
David and his wife, Ruthanne, live in Muscatine. He enjoys spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren), travel, and reading.
