About

Steven T. Hunter is a 1974 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law with distinction. He has practiced law in Davenport, Iowa with Stanley Lande & Hunter and its predecessor firm since 1974. He grew up on a family farm near DeWitt, Iowa and attended college at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa where he received his BA degree in Economics in 1972.

Throughout his career, Steve has practiced extensively in the areas of real estate, banking law and finance, corporate, and commerical law. Steve has received the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Highest Possible Peer Review Rating in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards for 15 consecutive years. Steve has served as legal counsel, with other firm members, in the negotiation, documentation, and closing of numerous multi-million dollar transactions and financing matters.

Steve has served as a member of the Davenport Zoning Board of Adjustment and as a member of the Davenport School Board. He presently serves as a director of the Davenport Schools Foundation and of the Downtown Davenport Partnership division of the Quad City Chamber of Commerce.

Steve and his wife, Mary Ellen, live in Davenport. They have three adult children and five grandchildren who reside in Bettendorf, New York, and Bozeman, Montana.
