About

Nathan Mather is engaged in various legal matters including litigation, estate planning, trusts and estates, corporate real estate, labor and employment law, and bankruptcy. He also has a background in family law.

He provides expertise to clients with various types of contracts including: employment contracts, corporate contracts and business formation, and other corporate law concerns, real estate purchase and sales contracts, and the leasing and subleasing of property.

He is excited to be working with the lawyers at Stanley, Lande & Hunter because they practice as a team, and clients have the full complement of the firm’s resources available to them, including the firm’s lawyers and trained and personable legal assistants. The firm is dedicated to employing high quality practice methods and procedures in order to provide excellent legal services.

Nathan is a member of the Muscatine County, State of Iowa and American Bar Associations. He is licensed to practice in Iowa, Illinois, New York (inactive), and New Jersey (inactive).

He is active in the community, serving as a member and past chair of the Muscatine County Board of Supervisors, as well as multiple terms as a Director of the Muscatine Community School Board, as a Director on the Eastern Iowa Mental Health and Disability Board, a Board Member of the Seventh Judicial District Department of Corrections, a Commissioner on the Bi-State Regional Commission, a Board Member of the Muscatine Community Health Association, a Commissioner on the Muscatine County Veterans Affairs Commission, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Muscatine History and Industry Center.

Nathan returned to Muscatine after beginning his legal career in New York City. He is a graduate of Muscatine High School, Northwestern University, and the New York University School of Law.

Nathan and his wife, Jill, are members of the Mulford Evangelical Free Church. They have three children, Mara, James Nathan, and Benjamin. Nathan enjoys traveling with his family, reading science fiction, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs. Nathan is also an Eagle Scout and fluent in German.
